The Irony: AI Wasn't Actually in the Games
Here's the twist that had the industry buzzing: for all the vendor pitches, demo booths, and packed conference sessions, actual games at GDC largely didn't feature AI in meaningful ways. Developers on the floor were cautious, even skeptical, about integrating generative AI into their shipped products.
