Ottawa police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect after a break and enter at a restaurant on Elgin Street last month.
According to police, the incident took place in the early morning hours of February 19, when an individual entered a restaurant in the 300 block of Elgin Street, a busy stretch in the heart of Centretown known for its restaurants, bars, and nightlife.
What Happened
The suspect entered the restaurant and stole personal items before leaving the scene. Police have not disclosed the exact nature of the stolen property or how the individual gained entry to the premises.
The investigation is ongoing, and officers are now turning to the public for assistance in identifying the person responsible.
A Familiar Stretch of the City
The 300 block of Elgin Street sits in one of Ottawa's most active commercial corridors. The area is home to a variety of well-known dining and entertainment spots, and foot traffic in the neighbourhood runs late into the night on weekends.
