Ottawa School Buses Cancelled Amid Ice Storm
Parents in Ottawa woke up Wednesday to school bus cancellations across both English and French school boards as a major freezing rain event moved into the region.
The cancellations affected the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board, the Ottawa Catholic School Board, and French-language boards. Gatineau school boards also cancelled transportation.

The City of Ottawa declared a Significant Weather Event. Environment Canada issued a freezing rain warning forecasting between 10 and 20 millimetres of ice accumulation. Officials urged residents to avoid non-essential travel.
