Ottawa's hockey team is on a roll, and coach Travis Green believes the reason is simple: the Senators have bought in.
Green spoke to reporters this week about what's been driving the Sens' momentum, pointing to two interlocked factors — belief in the process the coaching staff has built, and belief in themselves as a group capable of winning.
"When players trust what we're doing and trust each other, that's when you see the results," Green said. "This group has worked hard to get to this point and they deserve credit for staying the course."

The Senators have spent the last few seasons rebuilding, developing young talent, and installing a new identity under Green's leadership. That patient approach — often described internally as "the process" — is now starting to yield dividends on the ice.
