One of Canada's Largest Wind Farms

Wolfe Island sits at the northeastern end of Lake Ontario, just south of Kingston and roughly 200 kilometres west of Ottawa. The wind farm is one of the largest in Canada, with TransAlta operating 86 turbines across the island. The facility has been generating clean energy for the Ontario grid since 2009 and is a significant contributor to the province's renewable energy supply.
