A Robot Vacuum That Actually Cleans Carpets
If you've ever watched a robot vacuum make five laps around your living room rug and still leave behind a visible trail of crumbs, you'll understand the appeal of the Dyson 360 Vis Nav. Unlike most robovacs that prioritize quiet operation or sleek design over raw power, the 360 Vis Nav was built to actually clean — and right now, it's available at an all-time low price of $279.99 at Woot, down from its regular retail price of $1,199.
That's $919 off, with a full two-year warranty included. The deal runs through May 11th or while supplies last.
65 Air Watts of Suction — What That Means in Practice
Most robot vacuums struggle with carpets. They're great on hardwood, passable on low-pile rugs, and largely useless once you get into anything shaggy or tufted. The 360 Vis Nav sidesteps this problem with a motor that delivers 65 air watts of suction — significantly more than most of its competitors.
In testing by The Verge's Jennifer Pattison Tuohy, the vacuum "demolished a pile of dry oatmeal in seconds," and she noted she was briefly concerned it might pull the tassels off her large area rug. It didn't — but the point is, this machine has real power behind it.
For comparison, even Dyson's own newer $1,200 Spot + Scrub AI model requires multiple passes to fully clean the same type of mess. The 360 Vis Nav does it in one.
Smart Design Choices That Add Up
Beyond suction power, the 360 Vis Nav has a few design decisions that set it apart from the crowded field of round robovacs.
Its D-shaped footprint lets it press flat edges against walls and get into corners more thoroughly — a weakness for most circular robots. The ultra-fluffy brush roll is positioned to dig into carpet fibres rather than skim over them. And at a lower profile than many competitors, it can slide under most sofas and bed frames without getting stuck.
The 500ml dustbin is on the larger side for a robovac of this size, which means fewer trips to empty it during longer cleaning sessions.
Is It Worth Buying?
At its full retail price of $1,199, the 360 Vis Nav is hard to justify for most people — especially when newer robovacs with mopping functions, AI obstacle avoidance, and self-emptying bases exist at similar price points. But at $279.99, the calculus changes considerably.
This is a machine that excels at one thing — picking up dirt from carpets — and it does that thing better than almost anything else currently on the market. If carpet cleaning is your primary need and you've been waiting for a deal, this is likely the lowest you'll see this model go.
Note that this deal is USD-priced and available through Woot, a US-based retailer — Canadian shoppers should factor in exchange rates and potential import/shipping costs before purchasing.
