Ottawa concertgoers who booked hotel rooms and lined up tickets for AC/DC's September 16, 2026 show at Toronto's Rogers Stadium can cancel those plans. Live Nation has scrapped the concert entirely after storm damage left part of the venue unsafe.
What happened to the venue
A so-called "100-year storm" struck Toronto last week and caused several seating sections on the north side of Rogers Stadium to collapse, leaving the venue with significant structural damage. The City of Toronto responded by issuing a violation notice ordering Live Nation to close the site, hire engineers to inspect the damage, and complete urgent repairs that require a building permit.
Live Nation Canada's president said safety has to come first, adding that the right decision is to take the time to remove and rebuild the damaged sections properly.
Refunds and what happens next
Anyone who bought a ticket to the show directly will get their money back automatically through Ticketmaster, no action required. If you picked up a resale ticket, though, you'll need to go back to whatever platform or reseller you bought it from for refund details, since Ticketmaster's automatic process only covers original purchases.
The show doesn't appear to be getting rescheduled for now. No new date has been announced, and given that this was slated as the 20th and final concert of Rogers Stadium's 2026 season, there's no indication another slot will open up before the venue closes out the year.

This cancellation takes one more marquee date off the board for local fans this year, and with the season winding down, there isn't an obvious replacement on the horizon.
For Ottawa AC/DC fans still hoping to catch the band on this Canadian run, the tour isn't over elsewhere. The band has two more Canadian dates on the books: Montreal on September 12 and Winnipeg on September 20, both still going ahead as planned.
Beyond the lost show, the collapse itself is a reminder of how severe last week's storm was in the Toronto area, serious enough to structurally damage a stadium built to hold tens of thousands of people.
