Ottawa is spending its weekend in costume. Ottawa Comiccon is running September 11 to 13, 2026, marking the convention's 13th edition, and the final day lands today, Sunday.
Where to find it
The convention is set up at the Cohere Centre, formerly known as the EY Centre, at 4899 Uplands Drive in Ottawa. It's the same venue Comiccon has used in past years, giving fans a familiar layout for browsing artist alley, vendor booths, and panel rooms across the three-day run.
Stargate, X-Men and Smallville all in one building
This year's guest list leans hard into fan-favourite franchises with Ottawa ties. Three stars from the Stargate franchise are appearing: Canadian actors Amanda Tapping, Michael Shanks and Lexa Doig.
Joining them as this year's Guest of Honour is Famke Janssen, known internationally for her roles in the X-Men films, Taken and GoldenEye. Rounding out the lineup are several Smallville alumni: Tom Welling, who played Clark Kent, Laura Vandervoort, who played Kara Zor-El, and Kristin Kreuk, who played Lana Lang. Mark Williams, known for his work in the Harry Potter films and 101 Dalmatians, is also on the guest roster.
That's a lot of overlapping fandoms under one roof, sci-fi, superhero and fantasy fans all have a reason to make the trip to Uplands Drive this weekend.
New this year: a K-Pop tribute concert
Ottawa Comiccon added a new attraction for 2026: Experience KPop Live, a tribute concert included with any valid Sunday ticket. For anyone holding a Sunday pass today, the concert is a built-in extra rather than a separate ticketed event, worth factoring in if you're planning your day at the Cohere Centre.
The Masquerade and what's left of the weekend
That's already happened for anyone who missed it Saturday, but it's a reminder of how much of the weekend leans on the local cosplay community that shows up year after year.
For Ottawa residents who haven't made it out yet, today is the last chance to catch this year's edition. With the Stargate and Smallville guests, Famke Janssen's appearance, and the new K-Pop concert included with Sunday admission, there's still plenty on offer for a Sunday afternoon at the Cohere Centre before the 13th edition wraps for another year.
