Ottawa's National Arts Centre is kicking off its Indigenous Theatre season with Beautiful Scars, a new play built around the music and story of Juno Award winning musician Tom Wilson.
What The Show Is About
The production centres on secrets, lies and self-discovery, set to a big, rocking live score drawn from Wilson's music. It's a stage adaptation that leans into his songwriting as much as the drama itself.
Why It Matters For Ottawa
As the season opener for the NAC's Indigenous Theatre program, the show gives Ottawa audiences an early look at the kind of storytelling the department is building its year around. No performance dates were included in the source material.
