Ottawa's own 67's are sending more players to NHL training camps than expected this fall. The number of 67's invited to NHL camps has grown from four to six, according to the Ottawa Citizen.
Who's Joining
Defenceman Kaleb Dietsch will attend the Ottawa Senators' camp, giving hometown fans a player to watch closely as the Sens size up their prospect pool. Forward Nic Whitehead is headed to the Toronto Maple Leafs' camp.
Why It Matters for Ottawa
For a city that follows its junior hockey club closely, seeing 67's alumni get NHL looks, especially with the hometown Senators, is a point of pride and a sign of the program's strength this season.
