Ottawa collection reminders

Never miss garbage day in Ottawa again

Ottawa collects garbage every other week, the green bin weekly, and the blue and black boxes on alternating weeks. Remembering which one goes out tonight is the hard part. Tell us your address and we will email you the evening before, every time.

Five, seven or nine in the evening, the night before your collection day.

3

That is it

Reminders start right away. One click in any email stops them for good.

What the email tells you

  • 🗑️ Whether garbage goes out this week, or only recycling
  • 🫙 📦 Which box it is: blue for containers, black for paper
  • 🌱 The green bin, every collection day
  • 🍂 Yard trimmings while they are being collected
  • 🗓️ When a holiday moves your collection a day later
Remind me the evening before, at

We will email you the evening before collection, and nothing else. Your address is used only to look up your collection day. Unsubscribe from any email and it is deleted. ottown is not affiliated with the City of Ottawa.

Collection days come from the City of Ottawa's published open data. Apartment and condo buildings are on their own arrangements, so we cannot send reminders for those yet.
