Ottawa police are asking for the public's help identifying a man wanted in connection with two indecent act incidents near Heron Park over the past few weeks.
The first incident
Investigators say the first incident happened on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at approximately 2 p.m. on the Heron Park pathway near the 1500 block of Clover Street. A man followed a woman along the trail, then exposed himself and began masturbating when she turned around.
A second, similar incident
On Thursday, September 3, 2026, at around 10:26 p.m., a man matching the same description was seen near Bank Street and Heron Road masturbating while looking into a residence window. Officers responded to the area but were not able to locate him.
Who police are looking for
The suspect is described as a Black male in his mid-20s, tall, wearing black jogging pants and a grey hooded sweatshirt, and carrying a black pouch. Police have not released any further identifying details.
What investigators are asking for
Ottawa police are asking residents and businesses in the area to review any surveillance, doorbell-camera or dashcam footage they have from the dates and times of both incidents, August 29 around 2 p.m. and September 3 around 10:26 p.m., in case it captured the suspect or anything relevant to the investigation.
