Ottawa police are asking the public to help identify a man suspected of robbing a Kanata business on March Road. He was described as wearing an Ottawa Redblacks sweatshirt and left with cash after telling an employee it was a robbery.

Ottawa police are looking for a suspect after a robbery at a commercial premises on March Road in Kanata earlier this month, and they're now asking the public for help putting a name to a face.

What happened

According to the Ottawa Police Service, a lone male suspect walked into a commercial premises in the 700 block of March Road on September 12, 2026, at approximately 10:55 p.m. He told an employee it was a robbery and was handed a sum of cash. No injuries were reported in connection with the incident.

Suspect description

Police describe the suspect as a white male in his 30s, with a goatee and a slender build. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a black Ottawa Redblacks sweatshirt, black pants, and white running shoes. Investigators have not released any further details about how the suspect arrived at or left the scene, or whether a weapon was displayed during the encounter.
