Ottawa Senators fans looking for a first glimpse of the team's future should head to Gatineau this weekend, where the club's top prospects face off against rookie squads from the Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Maple Leafs.
Who's Playing
The roster is headlined by Jaxon Cover, one of Ottawa's 2026 first-round picks, alongside Kasper Halttunen, a winger acquired in the trade that sent William Eklund away. Both are expected to draw close attention from scouts and fans as the Senators organization sizes up its next wave of talent.
Why It Matters for Ottawa
With Gatineau just across the river, the Prospect Challenge gives local hockey fans a rare, low-stakes chance to see potential future Senators before training camp gets underway.
